Golfing
Bring your clubs for a day on the links! The Cascades Golf Course is an 18-hole, championship course that’s sure to test the abilities of even the most seasoned golfer. The marquee in a town known for golf, every hole will bring about news scenery and water features for you to enjoy.
Fishing & Trails
Become one with Mother Nature as you fish off the pier or on the shore of the park’s Urban Fishery. Stocked with Bluegill and Largemouth Bass, it’s a great spot for families or casual fisherman to drop a line.
Bring your rollerblades, bike, or running shoes to spend some time on the trail at the park. This 1.8 mile paved trail loops around the park, giving you great views of the manicured grounds.
Splash Pad at The Cascades
Cool off at the splash pad! The zero-depth facility is the perfect way for kids of all ages to enjoy the water safely. As the newest addition to the Sparks Foundation County Park, it has more than a dozen water features that will entertain the kids for hours! They will enjoy standing under the waterfalls and arches, jumping over the fountains coming from the floor, and getting poured on by the giant water bucket.
The Cascades
The Cascades is an illuminated, man-made waterfall that is widely known as the crown jewel of the Jackson area. Glowing for more than 85 years, locals and visitors continue to be captivated by its enchanting charm. Visit the spectacular attraction during the day, or opt for an evening show where you will get to enjoy the sprawling fountain as it changes colors to the music.
Entertainment and Fireworks
Just because the sun is starting to go down, doesn’t mean your day at the park is over. Stay for Family Fun Night each Wednesday in the summer, where costumed characters and live music keep the fun going at the foot of The Cascades. For even more live music, head over to the Rotary Bandshell each Saturday evening in the summer for a musical experience.
Enjoy a spectacular firework show each Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Independence Day at Sparks Foundation County Park. You won’t find a display more dazzling than these, as The Cascades sets the background for the booming show! Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and join the others as they gather on the hillside to enjoy the shows.
