Dude’s Weekend In Jackson

A few months back I decided to do a search online looking for Big Lebowski events near me. The Big Lebowski is a cult classic directed by the Coen brothers.

During my search I found a Big Lebowski event in Jackson, MI. I had never been to Jackson, but I realized it wasn’t too far away and I decided that I was going to attend the event and take my father-in-law with me. The event was called “The Dude’s Day - 20 years of The Big Lebowski” and it was at the Commonwealth Commerce Center in Downtown Jackson.

We arrived early the day of the event and checked into our hotel. Shortly after arriving we grabbed dinner at Klavon’s Pizzeria & Pub. It was amazing, some of the best pizza we’ve ever had. Everything was great from the food to the beer and I can’t forget the service. Very friendly staff and extremely clean. We really enjoyed ourselves.

We then went back to our hotel and got ready for the event. We had a great time at the event and met some awesome people who I now consider friends and still stay in touch.

The next morning for breakfast we went to Roxy’s Cafe and that was another awesome experience. Our waitress was the original owners daughter and we got to talking with her and had a great conversation. This place knows how to make a killer breakfast!

Considering neither one of us had ever been to Jackson, Michigan, we had the best time you could ask for. Everywhere we went the food was amazing and everyone was super nice, we will definitely be back. I’m actually looking at a Big Lebowski event in November at the Michigan Theatre of Jackson!
