This fishing tournament takes place every year (weather permitting) in the Brooklyn-Irish Hills area. With the top prize now exceeding $20,000 this prestigious tournament attracts the best fisherman in the area. The 2022 event is Sunday, February 6.
The Perfect Time to Ice Fish: Free Fishing Weekend
Each year the Michigan DNR holds two weekends that allow people to fish without requiring a fishing license. This is the perfect way to get out on the water to try your hand at ice fishing, especially with kids. The next free fishing weekend is February 19 & 20, 2022.
