Music, comedy, dance & more in store in 2015-16 Potter Center season

Great music for all ages, comedy, dance and something for the kids – all are on tap in the 2015-16 season at the Potter Center, Jackson College.

Hormonal Imbalance, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2016

Make it a hot night of music and laughs when this hilarious renegade sorority of harmonizing gal pals use their elegant wit, sophisticated (never blue) humor to create a wildly fun and raucous delight! These accomplished singers/ musicians/ comediennes are hotter than ever. Literally! With sharp social commentary, and a wardrobe of bling, they’re an estrogen-fueled celebration of Babes, Boys and Botox! Tickets are $25 for reserved seats, $20 for students.

Steven Curtis Chapman, 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016

Steven Curtis Chapman has sold more than 10 million records, two RIAA-certified platinum albums and eight RIAA-certified gold albums. He has received five Grammy Awards and an American Music Award. Steven has recorded 45 No. 1 U.S. radio hits and been awarded 56 Dove Awards, more than any other artist to date. This concert will include classics from the past 30 years like “Live Out Loud” to “I Will Be Here,” and “Cinderella” to his latest hit “Something Beautiful.” Tickets are $45, $40 and $20.

Golden Dragon Acrobats, 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016

The Golden Dragon Acrobats are recognized throughout the U.S. and abroad as the premiere Chinese acrobatic touring company of today. World renowned impresario Danny Chang and choreographer Angela Chang combine award-winning acrobatics, traditional dance, spectacular costumes, ancient and contemporary music and theatrical techniques to present a show of breathtaking skill and spellbinding beauty. Tickets are $28, $22 and $15.

PFX – The Pink Floyd Experience, 7 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016

Without question, Pink Floyd remains one of the most influential rock bands of all time. Now get ready for PFX - THE PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE. Complete with a spectacular light show, full quadraphonic sound and six brilliant musicians covering four complete album sides off of four beloved classic Pink Floyd albums, as well as a set of Greatest Hits including “Money,” “Wish You Were Here,” “Comfortably Numb” and more…live! Audiences are raving about this epic concert. Tickets are $35, $32 and $28.

Kansas, 7 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2016

Kansas has spent more than four decades entertaining multiple generations of music lovers. The band has produced eight gold albums, three sextuple-Platinum albums (Leftoverture, Point of Know Return, Best of KANSAS), one platinum live album (Two for the Show), and a million-selling gold single, “Dust in the Wind.” Kansas appeared on the Billboard charts for over 200 weeks throughout the ‘70s and ‘80s and played to sold-out arenas and stadiums throughout North America, Europe and Japan.
