New Year’s Resolution #1: Get Fit and Run a Half-Marathon

Many of us resolve to get fit and lose weight this season. Maybe running a half-marathon is in your horizon. Jackson has the perfect opportunity with

The Falling Waters Trail Run and Walk on October 2nd. Running the Falling Waters Trail 5K, 10K, or half-marathon will help you bond with nature with the beautiful fall colors AND raise money for the Friends of the Falling Waters Trail!

Of course you want to build up to the half-marathon, so start small. The first 5K of the Orthopedic Rehab Run/Walk Series is the Groundhog Gallop on February 6th, at Middle School at Parkside.Throughout the year, this series continues with 5K, 8K, 10K and 12K eventually building yourself up to master the half-marathon in October.

If you would like to combine your love of running with another favorite activity consider Running Between the Vines on August 13th. This half-marathon/5K combines running through scenic country roads with a wine tasting party at Sandhill Crane Vineyards.
