John Blank was born and raised in Jackson, Michigan and is fortunate to have inherited the long list of art abilities that run through the entire Blank family for generation. He is known for his unique, detailed wood carvings and acrylic on canvas paintings.
John's love of nature and animals inspire him as he creates his life-like wood carvings of wildfowl and big game animals. He has won numerous awards and been recognized as Best In Show. Many of his carvings reside in private collections across the US and Canada. Duplication pieces have been sold through Cabela's, The Danbury Mint, and North American Hunting Magazines.
In the past five years, John has expanded his repertoire to include acrylic painting of landscapes, mainly consisting of old barns, out buildings, misty forest scenes, songbirds, and commission work of pets and old cars. Loved by his collectors, his new work is always much anticipated.
