Freedom Festival & Steam Engine Show

September 21-22, 2019 | All Day

14th Annual Tompkins Center Historical Society Freedom Festival and Steam Show

The Tompkins Center Historical Society Freedom Festival and Steam Show celebrates the small farming community of Tompkins Township, in Jackson County. Both the festival and steam show are held on the Stewart Property; a family farm that has been converted into a museum by the Tompkins Historical Society.

Historic Relevance

The Stewart Property started off as a Centennial Farm in Tompkins Township in the early 1900s and is now the annual home of the Freedom Festival and Steam Engine Show. The Festivals begins with a flag raising ceremony, and throughout the day one can expect to discover working steam engines, tractor pulls, bake sales, and more!
