Now through August 31, 2017, organizations are encouraged to submit a 2018 funding request based on their self-selected category. All 2018 requests must align with Experience Jackson’s mission and will be evaluated by the Review Committee on three criteria including, their potential to “Put Jackson on the Tourist Map”, “Potential for Success, Sustainability, and Growth,” and “Commitment to Customer Service”. To better understand how you’ll be scored, please download the 2018 Cursory Review which will be completed by staff and the Review Committee Score Sheet which each committee member will complete.
The 2018 self-selection categories include “Sales”, “Marketing and Advertising Co-Op” and “Event Sponsorship”. Organizations may only submit one request per year and may not split categories or sub-groups; however, organizations requesting support are NOT precluded from submitting additional requests as a collaborative group. Marketing and Advertising Co-Op Support
The categories were developed because different information is required to vet different types of requests, however, all requests are competing for the same potential dollars. In the rare event that your initiative doesn’t fit into one of these categories, you may submit a proposal under the “Other” category.
For consideration, all requests must be submitted by email to Jennifer@ExperienceJackson.com by August 31, 2017 at 11:59 PM. Within 72 hours of submission, you should receive a confirmation email. If you have not received a confirmation email after 72 hours please call our office.
Financial support will be allocated for the 2018 calendar year and may not be carried over to 2019. Annually, Experience Jackson receives more funding requests than money available and inevitably we must decline to invest sponsorship dollars in some tourism related requests. Ultimately, the Experience Jackson Board of Directors will approve or deny funding requests at their discretion and all requests will be notified by mail in early December 2017.
