Car Cruises

Once a month, from May through September, hundreds of classic cars line Jackson’s historic Michigan Avenue. Stroll among these chrome creations as they take their spots near Horace Blackman Park. Anywhere from 200 to 400 cars, ready to impress, all in one spot. Have a chat with the owners while their cars are parked, then listen to the engines roar their way through downtown.

Downtown Jackson Goes Chrome

For auto enthusiasts and casual cruise-goers alike, the thrill is in the hunt. From the sleek curves of a candy red Stingray to the imposing frame of a jet black GTO, there’s a surprise around every corner. Car shows, followed by cruises through downtown, take place May through September on the fourth Friday of every month, from 6 to 9 p.m. There’s free fun for the whole family, including contests, giveaways, a DJ and more. For more information, contact the Jackson Downtown Development Authority at 517-788-4355 or info@jacksondda.org.

Brooklyn Joins the Show
