January 21, 2015 (Jackson, MI) – As of January 1, 2015 the Ella Sharp Museum is pleased to offer admission to our galleries at no cost. Visitors can choose to pay by donation, which means that any amount will be appreciated and they will be given a ticket to view our galleries (note: excludes major exhibitions).
“Instituting a suggested donation rate for visitors that are not members of the museum allows access to the museum for everyone,” Executive Director of the Ella Sharp Museum, Amy Reimann said.
Admission revenue is an important part of museum financing, but it is also important that the museum is accessible to everyone. Visitors’ donations contribute to our activities and programs for youth, adults, and families, and to the exciting exhibitions we offer to the community. Members will always have free admission as a benefit.
“This is a great advancement for our museum and the Jackson community. Please spread the word!” Reimann said.
