Find Unique Holiday Gifts in Jackson

Are you all feeling the Holiday Pressure? I know I am. About this time in December, I start thinking, "How in the world will I get everyone an A W E S O M E gift with only two shopping weeks left and almost every moment of my day dedicated to other Holiday traditions such as trimming the tree and baking cookies."

Don’t fret guys! This post is for you. Read below to check out the best places to go for truly unique gift finds. Shopping at these Jackson Artist and Artisan Holiday Shopping Opportunities, you’ll be shocked how fast you check names off your shopping list with truly unique gifts.

Locally Crafted Christmas Pop-Up Shop (250 S. Main Street, Brooklyn)

This pop-up shop features five Brooklyn Artisans and is first on the list because it’s at my school, Kate's Art School, and is one-day only. The pop-up shop offers both shopping and creating your own gift.  Stop by on December 16th between 10am and 4pm to shop till you drop AND paint your own mug. This opportunity is only available to 30 people. I will glaze and fire your mug so that it’s dishwasher and oven safe, for you to pick up at a later date. This opportunity is available for the young to the not so young. I will also have decorated children’s aprons that I can personalize for you with a child’s name, personalized artist tool bags, hand painted ceramic ornaments, and the opportunity to be entered to win a Schwinn Teal Bicycle for every $25 purchased in gift certificates. Other artisans such as Soaps by Barb, Cake Nouveau, JCC Pallet designs and Divine Pine Studios will all be available with their handmade, beautifully crafted ceramics, cookies, signs, soaps and more!  I’ve been blown away by the super creative artisans listed here.  You will not be disappointed!

The Christmas Art Show (612 Page Avenue, Jackson)

This new gallery is a must stop-by shopping experience. At this particular exhibition K Gallery is featuring 25 artists. Last year, this shopping experience was a true pop-up in that K Gallery didn’t exist in it’s own brick and mortar, and last year people compliment the price points and the inventory, repeatedly. I’m never disappointed by the owner curation of featured artists. K Gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11-6pm and Sunday noon-4pm, until December 22nd.

The Orange Peacock (120 W. Michigan Avenue, Jackson)

This store is available all-year round, but during the Holiday Season the inventory goes from Great to INCREDIBLE to ensure that Jackson residents are able to shop for truly great gift items. Everything is made by local artists and there is something for everyone. They’re open Tuesday through Thursday 11am-6pm, Friday 11-7pm, Saturday 11-4pm and Sunday noon-4pm.
