Get Indoors to Start 2019

Don't want to get all dirty or tired outdoors as the winter comes to an end in Jackson, Michigan? I've got a few great ideas for you to stay warm, dry and clean indoors in #JacksonMI. These aren't in any particular order, and if you think I've missed something, I want to hear from you!

How I stay indoors in #JacksonMI:

When you first roll into town, you'll probably want to grab a bite to eat and do something easy to get started. That's why you should bowl first. Every one of the great facilities in Jackson County has great and affordable bowling- and typically you can grab a beer and a bite to eat while you're on the lanes.

If bowling isn't enough for the kids, there's even an in-alley arcade. That's not all for arcades either. You're also going to want to visit Jackson's Allskate.

After two days of skating and bowling, you'll probably want a nice sit-down dinner. We reccomend a premium experience following this. You can visit Ichiban Grill and try out this unique experience during your stay. Just look at these screengrabs from their website:

There are so many other things to do in Jackson, but I don't want to get into our culture, arts, history or outdoors here. This is just indoors- and these are all super easy and relaxing places to visit. Sticking with that theme, we need to keep you indoors for some more skating at the Optimist Ice Arena.

And a visit to #JacksonMI and the 517 wouldn't be complete without a trip to our own Grand River Brewery. Stop by, have a great meal and some fresh beverages in our premium hometown brewery.

Last- but certainly not least, we're famous for coneys. Did you know the original coney island hot dog was invented right here in Jackson, Michigan? One of the great food creations of the midwest, you haven't finished your visit until you've tasted the original sauce and style of preparing these delicious dogs.

That's it. That's how I stay indoors in #JacksonMI and keep having an unreal time, even when I'm tired of all of the arts, history, beer, sports, culture and exhaustive list of outdoors activities we have availble here. I'm sorry if there's too much for you to do on this list, but I wanted to share with you what I do in the J!

Thank you for reading and visiting #JacksonMI
