Jackson College will officially open the new Jets Trail fitness and walking path with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29th. This new, 1.25-mile path circles the Central Campus. Walkers and joggers may use the trail to take a break from work or studying, exercise and get fit. The trail features distance markers, water fountains and lighting. The trail is handicapped accessible.
“Continuing with Jackson College’s efforts to keep our students, employees and guests safe and healthy, a fitness trail has been installed on our Central Campus for walkers and runners,” said Cindy Allen, vice president of administration, human resources and talent development. “We hope that this 1.25-mile trail will be used by cross country students as they train, as well as by our employees to stay healthy. Community members are welcome.”
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will start on the north side of campus; park in the Bert Walker Hall parking lot. Students, employees and community welcome.
This new fitness and walking trail will be a great asset to Jackson County and its visitors.
