JAXPO 2016

Jackson, Mich. – Experience Jackson is excited to announce Holiday Inn NW won the informal lotion sniff test which took place at the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce’s JAXPO Business to Business Expo on October 20, 2016 at the All Skate Fun Center.

As part of an interactive booth display, Experience Jackson acquired lotion samples from five Jackson County hotels including Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn NW, Farifield Inn and Suites, Comfort Inn and Suites, and Baymont Inn. JAXPO patrons were asked to sniff the various lotion samples and vote for their favorite scent. Experience Jackson designed this interactive booth to raise awareness about the quality of Jackson County Hotels and showcase Jackson County as an overnight destination.

Lois Dunning of Energizing Education was one of over 450 people who attended JAXPO and when Dunning took the Experience Jackson sniff test she cast a vote for the Holiday Inn NW’s Coconut Lime Verbena Body Lotion from Bath and Body Works Signature Collection. Dunning said the lotion contest was a cute idea and couldn’t believe she forgot to pick up a sample.

“It is always nice getting out into the community promoting Experience Jackson and the Hampton Inn,” said Kirsten Logan the General Manager of the Hampton Inn Jackson. “I helped ‘man’ the Experience Jackson booth for a little over two hours and talked with over 80 people about hotel options in our area while they stopped to smell the lotions.”  When the final results were released Logan wasn’t surprised to learn Holiday Inn NW had won the sniff test because the Coconut Lime lotion seemed very popular at JAXPO.

Experience Jackson’s Mission is to promote Jackson County and its attributes to individual visitors and groups as a unique, affordable and attractive place to vacation, host an event or conduct a tour. Visit ExperienceJackson.com for more information on ways to experience Jackson, Michigan.
