Jackson, MI - In the last year, there were 1,947 events posted on the Experience Jackson Community Calendar. With so many events in Jackson there is bound to be crossover, competition and confusion. Nobody Ever Tells Me Anything (NETMA) is a group dedicated to communication and collaboration between festivals, events and the travel industry in Jackson. NETMA will meet Tuesday, August, 25, 2015, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. to discuss "Basic Event Logistics" at the Jackson Symphony Orchestra Performing Art Center aka “The WAX” at 215 W. Michigan Ave. in Downtown Jackson.
“This organization is for those event organizers who have ever found out about an event the same weekend as the one they’re planning and thought, 'Nobody ever tells me anything'”, says Jennifer Cronkhite, Marketing Director. “These are the conversations we want to facilitate with this new group called 'Nobody Ever Tells Me Anything' or NETMA for short.”
All organizations in attendance will be given the opportunity to introduce themselves and provide a short update which may last up to 2 minutes per organization. Then a speaker or panel of speakers will begin. This month the panel discussion will be on “Basic Event Logistics” from the perspective of a small, medium and large event. The panel will feature:
- Denise Owens, Jackson County Fair
- Kyle Liechty, Ella’s Art Beer and Wine Festival
- Jacqueline Austin, Amazing Race
The meeting will end with open networking and small group discussion. On September 22, October 27 and November 17, NETMA will meet in the Jackson District Library Carnegie Branch's Auditorium at 4 pm. For more information the public is asked to visit ExperienceJackson.com/NETMA or contact Jennifer Cronkhite, Marketing Director, at 517-764-4440 at Jennifer@ExperienceJackson.com.
