Everyone and their mother, especially their mother, has heard of the hit TV show, Fixer Upper on HGTV. If you haven’t heard of it yet, you need to put a television inside of that rock you’re living under.
Fixer Upper is a reality TV series about home design and renovations based in Waco, Texas. The host’s personalities, renovations, and designs have won over all of America. They even started their own decor company to help others transform their homes into the modern farmhouse look that’s been so popular lately.
Enough about Fixer Upper and more about Jackson, Michigan.
Rustic Market Co. is a new home decor and gift shop located in Downtown Jackson and the entire look and feel is heavily inspired by Fixer Upper. The store is owned by Sadie and Dave Bradley.
Sadie, mother of four, has been dreaming of having her own store ever since her grandma ran her own little shop, Christmas In July, which was located in Harbor Springs.
The concept for Rustic Market Co. stemmed from the fact that Sadie was tired of going into big box stores with kids in tow wandering aimlessly trying to find the perfect gift for people’s birthday’s, anniversaries, Christmas, or just a simple item for a friend or family member. Not only did she want to open a store with great gifts, but she wanted to be sure to include home decor because she always enjoyed the way little shops made her feel rather than rows of merchandise down aisles in large stores.
I’ve already stopped in Rustic Market Co. several times to buy items for my wife and our new home. The shop feels warm, personal, and welcoming and has something to offer for everyone; yes…even for guys.
The passion that Sadie and Dave have for their store is contagious and the community has been buzzing about Rustic Market Co. and all that they have done for Jackson in such a short period of time.
If you haven’t already, head over to Rustic Market Co. at 139 N. Jackson and I guarantee you’ll find the perfect gift or home decor item!
