Can you skate a figure eight? If not that’s okay, the Optimist Ice Arena is a great place to practice!

At the Optimist Ice Arena, you can find a skate rental, skate sharpening, concession stand, and two indoor ice rinks. The two ice rinks take turns hosting learn how to skate classes, figure skating, public skating, and hockey drop-ins and games. Public skating is scheduled throughout the week, with special DJ nights on Fridays – so you can skate a figure eight to your favorite songs.

The Jackson Hockey Association provides recreational and competitive youth hockey in age specific levels through USA Hockey and Michigan Amateur Hockey Association, and their games are held at the Optimist Ice Arena. The Optimist Ice Arena is also the home to the Jackson Optimist Figure Skating Club.
