Stoyanna's was founded by its owner Siera with the vision to continue her family's legacy.
Siera comes from a lineage of amazing cooks in her family. Her father once owned a popular pizza joint known as DC's Pizza for 5 years. After discontinuing that business, her family owned and operated one of the most popular Greek restaurants in the area called the Greek Villa. The Greek Villa achieved its goal of providing delicious Greek cuisine and mouthwatering Greek desserts to the area.
In the late 90's, Siera's father suffered an untimely stroke, and the Greek Villa was discontinued.
While searching for the perfect space for her business, Siera shared the great news to her mother about finding the perfect building to start her new catering business.
To her surprise, Siera's mother informed her that the very building she was looking at was once DC's Pizzas, her father's first business!
Unfortunately, weeks later her mother passed away. Without her mother's knowledge, Siera would have never known about her building's amazing history. For this all credit goes to her!
Life is definitely is filled with full circle moments!
Not only is Stoyanna's a full-service catering and carry-out business, but it is also now home to an amazing ice cream shop next door.
What was once Scream n' Mimi's is now home Stoyanna's Ice Cream. Once Mimi was ready to retire from the business, she entrusted Siera to continue the 20-year legacy Mimi started.
Stoyanna's Ice Cream achieves this by providing decadent ice cream treats with a greekalicious flavor.
Cooking is in Siera's blood and she is very passionate and proud of her Greek heritage.
