The Jackson County Branch NAACP would like to cordially invite you to the 2022 Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr Day of Service. Monday, January 17th, 2022 at 10 a.m. Our theme for this year's event is “Standing on the Shoulders of Giants – Honoring the Past while Preparing for the Future”.

This year’s keynote speaker is the esteemed Dr. Pamela Pugh. Dr. Pugh was elected to the State of Michigan Board of Education in 2014, currently serving as Vice President. From 2016 to 2019 Dr. Pugh served as the Chief Public Health Advisor for the city of Flint. Dr. Pugh is also founder of Regeneration LLC, a business that serves as a catalyst for economically sustainable and healthy urban communities by assisting public agencies, organizations, and businesses in building capacity through effective operations and winning partnerships.

While this is a FREE event to the community of Jackson in honor of the work of Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr; we are offering sponsorship opportunities to assist in the advocacy and community work of the Jackson County Branch NAACP.

NAACP Local Purpose: Create positive change in the African American Community through effective leadership and advocacy; empowering the community to address both short and long term issues facing its citizens.
