Jackson County Museums have geared up for the 2021 holiday season with special exhibits, events, and decor. Here are just a few of the highlights of each you'll find to enjoy.

Coe House Museum
371 W Michigan Ave, Grass Lake, MI 49240
12/4, 10am-1pm - Stop on the Candyland Christmas Cookie Tour. Pick up a family Passport & Map at Whistlestop Park Depot in Grass Lake - while they last. Visit participating businesses throughout the village to gather sweet treats and collect passport stamps from each location. Return completed passport to the depot for a chance to win local gift cards.

Jackson County MI Historical Society

12/9, 6pm - Holiday Party at the Ye Ole Carriage Shop - dinner, tours, awards, & presentation on Jackson County’s history. Members or interested members RSVP by Nov. 29.

Celebrate the Holiday and traditions during a historical candlelit tour of the Ella Sharp Museum’s grounds & Hillside Farmhouse.

Daily Winter Break Planetarium Show; Let It Snow, an animated musical of holiday songs for all ages from Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, the Trans Siberian Orchestra, and more!

Paddock Hubbard Memorial Museum
317 Hanover St, Concord, MI 49237
12/5, 2pm - Music, humor, and Christmas scripture readings held at the Museum’s property at 200 Hanover Street (formerly Concord Universalist Church). Open house with music and refreshments follows the program until 5pm at the museum’s main location at 317 Hanover Street) with Paddock Hubbard House and the Schoolhouse open.

Tompkins Center Historical Society
10138 Tompkins Rd., Rives Junction, MI 49277
12/5, 4-8pm - Enjoy Christmas tree lighting at dusk (corner of M-50 and Woodard Rd). Christmas carols, with hot chocolate and cookies at the museum to celebrate the Christmas season and the Veteran's Memorial celebration. The tree displays the names of and honors Veterans from all branches of the military.

Hanover-Horton Area Historical Society

12/4, 1-4:30pm - Museum decorated, refreshments, organ music and concert from the Calvary Brass
12/11, 1-4:30pm - Event center and museum decorated, Santa, bake sale, kid’s activities, treats, Jackson College Jazzy Jets.

Waterloo Farm Museum and Dewey School

12/4, 12/5, 10am-4pm
Christmas on the Farm event. Weekend offers vendors, craft demos, greenery/wreaths for sale, gifts (specialty foods, handcrafted items, décor,) concessions featuring famous bean soup, warming pit, musicians. The house, school and outbuildings will be decorated as in late 1800s.
