October 9, 2022 | 10:00 AM-5:00 PM

Come celebrate 60 years of Pioneer Day with us at Waterloo Farm Museum and Dewey School.

  • Wander the grounds and explore the farmhouse and numerous outbuildings depicting farm life in the mid-late 1800s.
  • Watch craftsmen and demonstrators showcase their wares and talents in blacksmithing, weaving, spinning, basketmaking, broom making to name a few.
  • Try your hand at rope making, corn shelling, flint knapping.
  • Get a molasses cookie baked in the bakehouse and our famous Waterloo bean soup from concessions.
  • Tap your toes to live music. The barn will be over-flowing with hand made dried flower arrangements and decor made from locally gathered materials.
  • Children can make their own tussiemussie.
  • Listen to the clip-clop of horses’ hooves while riding in a hay wagon down a country lane.
  • Visit the farm wagon for edibles and the gift shop for old time items.
  • The Spinners Flock and Swallowtail Pottery will be just a few of the many vendors.
  • Dewey School will be open for tours and a little schoolin’ so stop in.
