Experience the “New Wine & Food Celebration,” an event from the wineries of the SE Michigan Pioneer Wine Trail. At each stop along this self-driving tour of six wineries, you’ll be served a wonderful new release wine paired with a dish prepared by a local chef or restaurant.
Wineries to visit and the pairings to taste:
Burgdorf’s Winery (Haslett): Smoked Chipotle Pepper Sausage Ratatouille over Herbed Pasta paired with new release Fischers Reserve (Chancellor) or semi-sweet Spartan Red
Chateau Aeronautique Winery (Brooklyn): Pork Loin with Peppercorn Sauce paired w/ Pinot Noir or Apricot Glaze paired w/ Semi-Sweet Riesling
Cherry Creek Cellars Old Schoolhouse Winery (Brooklyn): Mushroom & Blue Cheese Ragout over Crostini paired with Marechal Foch
Flying Otter Winery (Adrian): Bob's Savory Biscuit Pinwheel with Chicken Hatch Chili Casserole paired with Frontenac Gris
Pentamere Winery (Tecumseh): Braised Short Rib Ravioli with a Spring Pea and Wild Mushroom Cream Sauce, Pickled Onion, Truffle Oil, and Fresh Thyme will be served with semi-sweet May Wine
Sandhill Crane Vineyards (Jackson): Raspberry-Lemon Bars paired with Raspberry Rose’
What you need to know:
Ticket holders are welcome to visit each location over the two-day event, or they may choose to limit their visits (as time permits).
Save by registering early! Tickets only $35 through April 13th and $40 from April 14th through midnight on Wednesday, April 24th. Tickets ARE NOT available the day of the event.
Designated driver tickets $10 each. (Food only, no wine will be served to designated drivers.)
Please Note: There are no physical tickets mailed for this event. Once purchased, your name is added to a registration list that will be at each winery. Simply bring your ID and enjoy!
This event is for persons 21 years or over. You will be asked for ID at each winery. According to Michigan liquor law, we are not allowed to serve anyone who is intoxicated.
