The Winter Stonefly Hunt will be on Saturday, February 1st. Volunteers will help us look for stoneflies in and around river communities. You can step into a pair of waders and search in the water, or help sort samples on the firm and dry stream/river bank (or both). No experience is necessary, as we will provide some quick training and equipment.
We will meet at the Jackson County Conservation District office (211 W Ganson St in Room 200, Jackson, MI 49201) at 1pm. There is plenty of parking available. Please RSVP if you are planning on attending the event or if you have any questions, please contact the office at 517-395-2082.
