Cascades Hill is solid and sound, just as it has been for as long as we can remember. Climb the hill with your sled in hand, and rush down as if you’re a kid again.
Bring the outside in and throw on a pair of skates. Test your skills with a few turns and tricks at Optimist Ice Arena for some ice skating. With open skating almost daily, they’ll be waiting for you with some skates for rent and some hot chocolate to sip on when you need to take a breather.
For those who thrive in the winter, set an icy sail to one of Jackson County’s many frozen lakes for some ice fishing. With more than 100 lakes and fish-stocked waters, Jackson County is an excellent place to hole hop and find that perfect spot to drop down and jig this winter season. Nothing beats snuggling up in the wintertime. Cherry Creek has several cozy igloos, complete with soft blankets and heaters to keep you warm and cozy while you enjoy a glass of wine and a perfectly paired charcuterie board. If you’re looking to head inside somewhere equally cozy, head to The Hunt Club or Knight’s Steakhouse and Grill to warm up by the fire while you enjoy a hearty meal.
