A FAST VISIT
Experience Jackson welcomed Josh Cauldwell-Clarke, better known as social media influencer Josh from England. Josh and his friend Jason “Jase” Riley are on a return trip to Michigan from their home in Nottinghamshire, England.
Josh and Jase have accumulated millions of social media followers worldwide due to their optimism and general awe while experiencing American culture. Their curiosity often gains thousands of comments and insights into the places they visit.
During their visit on July 27, Josh experienced riding in the pace car passenger seat around Michigan International Speedway, NASCAR’s fastest track, located in Brooklyn, Michigan. He later joined Jase to taste a Jackson-style coney dog at Virginia Coney Island. Before wrapping up their one-day visit to the area, Josh recorded an episode of the Experience Jackson Podcast to reflect on the day.
“We go in with so much spontaneity, and we allow our followers in the comments to dictate what happens, because no one knows an area better than the locals,” said Cauldwell-Clarke. “You can Google, you can look at reviews, but sometimes there are places that are tucked away that are the favorite lunch spots of people who live in that area. They’re usually the gold mines where you’re going to get the best food, the best vibes and the best experience.”
Their visit in January 2026 explored the west coast of Michigan, driving north through a harsh winter storm, including sickness and a skiing injury. On this visit, they aim to share their experience during Michigan’s warmer season. Their summer journey through the state will take them to a variety of surprise locations through August 17, 2026.
“If we can put Michigan on the map, we’ll do that, because Michigan is one of the most beautiful states I’ve ever been in; and that was in the winter. God only knows what I’m going to experience in the summer,” said Cauldwell-Clarke. “Our mission is to let people know what places are like that they wouldn’t normally go to.”

“Part of promoting Jackson County is telling our story,” said Rachel Buchanan, VP of Marketing & Communications. “The stories of our guests open our eyes to amenities and experiences residents often take for granted. Josh and Jase do this in their own unique way”.
